What is outsourcing?
"Outsourcing" is the process by which jobs in America, Britain or Germany become much lower-paying jobs in India, China or Mexico.
Right now, this issue of outsourcing is heavily contested because some feel that by outsourcing jobs, there will be a decrease of jobs in the home market. Others feel that outsourcing is only a way to get rid of unwanted jobs and can help to create new ones.
This website shows both sides of outsourcing. Paul A. Samuelson is against outsourcing while Jagdish Bhagwati is for outsourcing.
