Welcome to the Literature/Film Association website, your source for news of the world of film adaptation. Who are we? The Literature/Film Association, established in 1989, encourages a wide variety of approaches to the study of cinema, with special focus on the relationship of literature and film. It supports and promotes cinema studies, largely by planning and running an annual conference of film scholars from across the country and around the globe. LFA is run by an elected council, whose current officers are Nancy Mellerski, Dickinson College (President); Linda Costanzo Cahir, Kean University (Vice President); Cynthia Miller, Emerson College (Secretary); Tina Lent, Rochester Institute of Technology (Treasurer); Richard Vela, University of North Carolina - Pembroke; Laurence Raw, Baskent University; John Tibbetts, Univesity of Kansas (Directors). Please click on the links above to access our Newsletter, Conference News, Membership Site, and Literature/Film Quarterly. LFA's website is currently located at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. |
