The Dickinson College Jazz Ensemble meets weekly for sight-reading, review of previously rehearsed material, and discussion of the Big Band styles of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Buddy Rich, Stan Kenton, and Maynard Ferguson. The Ensemble presents two concerts during each academic year.

Each spring concert has traditionally featured an internationally acclaimed Jazz Artist. Past featured guest artists include Julian Pressley, Steve Turre, Phil Woods, Vanessa Rubin, Byron Strypling and many more. The Jazz Ensemble is open to the entire Dickinson College community.
