Ph.D., University of Virginia. My courses explore the thought and practices of Indian religions, particularly Hinduism and Buddhism, and the traditions of Native Americans. My research in Tibetan Buddhist thought has taken me into the esoteric tantric tradition and into Indian and Tibetan Madhyamika philosophy. I have a special interest in meditation theory and practice.
