Strong Start Leads Bullets Past Devils 68-42
January 17, 2007

(Gettysburg, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team struggled from the field, shooting just 29 percent, falling on the road to Gettysburg College 68-42. The Bullets shot a dismal 35 percent from the line, but converted 51 percent of their field-goals as they improve to 6-9 overall and 4-5 in the Centennial Conference. The Red Devils slip to 4-11 and 2-7 in the CC.

Gettysburg jumped out to a quick 11-2 lead and remained in control for most of the contest. The Bullets pulled in front 38-18 at halftime.

Sophomore Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) led the Red Devils with 14 points. Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) tallied 10 points and five rebounds while Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) added six points, a game-high 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.

Gettysburg had three players reach double-figures led by Brian Seteja with 14 points and five rebounds while Corey Dorsey added 13 points and Joe Spierenburg scored 10.

The Red Devils return home to face Johns Hopkins on Saturday at 3:00 pm.

Red Devils Hold-Off Shoremen 59-56
January 13, 2007

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team played outstanding down the stretch to post a 59-56 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils led 30-25 at halftime and overcame a five-point deficit in the second half for the win.

Mike Geosists (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) pulled down a rebound, went coast-to-coast for a lay-up and foul for an old-fashioned three-point play. He converted the free throw to put the Devils in front 55-54. He traded lay-ups with Washington's Andrew Chambers to give Dickinson the lead for good with 1:59 remaining on the clock.

Sophomores Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) and Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) each hit one-of-two free throws in the final 23 seconds to give the Devils a 59-56 lead with eight seconds on the clock. The Shoremen crossed half court and called a timeout with four seconds to go in the contest.

Senior Pat Coyle (Kensington, MD/Georgetown) alertly went for a steal immediately, fouling Matt Hamm and preventing a three-point field-goal opportunity. Hamm missed the first, and would need to miss the second and hope for a long Shoremen rebound. It was Grell who came down with the ball as time expired to give the Devils the win.

Three Red Devils reached doube-figures, led by Geosits with 20 points and seven rebounds. Leszczynski recorded a double-double with 17 points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Grell tallied 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals.

Joey Breslin led Washington (2-12, 1-7) with 14 points and four assists. Todd Green and Kevin Marshburn each added nine points.

The Red Devils improve to 4-10 overall and 2-6 in the conference. They travel to Gettysburg on Wednesday to face the Bullets at 8:00 pm.

'Fords Escape Devils in Final Seconds 50-48
January 11, 2007

(Haverford, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team headed to Haverford looking for an upset. On Tuesday night, the 'Fords knocked-off Centennial Conference leader Johns Hopkins on the road. The Red Devils looked poised to return the favor, tying the game with 11 seconds remaining on a three-pointer from sophomore Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery). Haverford answered with just one second on the clock to escape with a 50-48 decision.

Haverford held a 27-24 lead at halftime and stretched the margin to 11 after the break. Dickinson trailed by eight with 5:11 remaining before pulling even at the 1:37 mark when Grell found classmate Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) in the paint.

Grell later sank a pair of free throws to make the score 46-45 in favor of Haverford with 26 seconds on the clock. The Devils were forced to foul, sending Mike Fratangelo to the line. Fratangelo hit both shots, forcing Grell to answer with a three-pointer. Chaz Thomas missed from long range on the other end but Ray Brown grabbed the rebound and converted the put-back to give the 'Fords the win.

Haverford improves to 6-7 overall and 5-2 in the conference. Brown finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the 'Fords while Fratangelo added 11 points.

The Red Devils slip to 3-10 overall and 1-6 in the CC. Grell went 5-for-7 from the field, scoring 14 points to go with six rebounds, two assists and two steals. Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) tallied 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists. Leszczynski grabbed nine rebounds, blocked two shots and had two steals.

Dickinson returns home to face Washington College on Saturday at 3:00 pm. The Red Devil women take on the Shorewomen at 1:00 pm.

Bears Slip Away With 80-71 Win
January 9, 2007

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team suffered an 80-71 setback to visiting Ursinus College on Tuesday night. The Red Devils played well throughout the game, holding Centennial Conference scoring leader Nick Shattuck to just eight points in the first half. Shattuck came alive late in the game, finishing with a game-high 23, scoring his 1000th career point.

The Red Devils jumped out early and held a 10 point lead in the final five minutes of the half. They went into the break with a 32-31 advantage behind 11 points from sophomore point guard Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery).

Ursinus struck first and held the lead throughout the second half. The Red Devils kept the Bears within striking distance and pulled within five on a three-point field-goal by Jon Skvarka (Bradford, PA/Bradford) with just 41 seconds remaining.

Dickinson continued to come after the Bears down the stretch but solid free throw shooting secured the win for Ursinus. The Bears hit eight straight from the stripe in the final 30 seconds as they improve to 8-5 overall and 5-1 in the conference.

Shattuck added six rebounds, two assists and two steals on the night. Sophomore John Noonan added a career-best 23 as well, shooting 5-for-8 from beyond the arc. Matt Fabian chipped in with a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing a game-high 16 rebounds.

Grell paced the Red Devils with 22 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the floor, 3-for-4 from long range and 7-for-8 from the line. Sophomore Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) added 15 points, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Classmate Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) reached double-figures with 13 points to go with six boards, three assists and a block.

The Red Devils (3-9, 1-5) travel to Haverford College on Thursday night for a 7:00 tip-off and return home to face Washington College on Saturday at 3:00 pm.

Devils Top Swarthmore in See-Saw Battle

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team returned to Centennial Conference action on Saturday with a 67-61 win over visiting Swarthmore. The Red Devils jumped out to an early lead, but watched the Garnet Tide battle back to take a 32-25 edge at halftime.

Dickinson was solid throughout the second half, regaining the lead on a three-point field-goal by Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) at the 11:53 mark. The Garnet led once more before a Tim Crouch (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) lay-up put the Devils in front for good with 10:44 on the clock.

The final 10 minutes were close as the Devils could stretch the margin to just eight with a little over five minutes to go in the game. A Matt Kurman lay-up pulled Swarthmore within a basket at the 1:26 mark as the Devils led 61-59. Dickinson held on as sophomore Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) hit 3-of-4 free throws in the final 10 seconds to secure the win.

Leszczynski led the way with a game-high 19 points and 11 rebounds. Kenny also reached the high-mark with 19 points, adding seven rebounds, three assists and a trio of three-pointers. Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) reached double-figures with 10 points. He also tallied six rebounds and had four assists.

Jon Skvarka (Bradford, PA/Bradford) and Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) also played well for the Red Devils.

Dickinson improves to 3-8 overall and 1-4 in the conference. The Garnet Tide slips to 4-8 and 1-4. The Devils are home again on Tuesday night, hosting Ursinus College at 8:00 pm.

Red Devils Fall at Wesley in Return to Hardwood
January 3, 2007

(Dover, DE)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team dropped an 84-59 decision to Wesley College in its return to the hardwood. The Wolverines jumped out to a 43-29 lead in the first half and were close to matching that score after the break.

Sophomore Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) led all scorers with 23 points. He posted a double-double with a game-high 12 rebounds as well. Classmate Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) added 18 points for the Devils while Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) reached double-figures with 10 points and tallied six rebounds.

Rashawn Johnson led Wesley with 20 points while Cody White chipped in with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Wesley improves to 3-6 as Dickinson slips to 2-8 overall. The Red Devils return home and to Centennial Conference action on Saturday, hosting Swarthmore College at 3:00 pm. Saturday will also be Red Devil Basketball School Camper Appreciation Day.

Red Devils Rally Past Chargers 77-64
December 18, 2006

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team overcame a 33-28 halftime deficit to post a 77-64 win over visiting Lancaster Bible College on Monday. The Chargers tallied 31 points in the second half but the Red Devils turned it on, scoring 49 after the break.

Lancaster came out hot, taking a 16-3 lead in the opening five minutes of the contest. The Red Devils chipped away throughout the remainder of the half, pulling within two at the midway point. Dickinson tied the game in the first two minutes of the second half and took the lead for good at the 16:40 mark.

The Devils stretched the margin to double-figures on a three-point field-goal by senior Pat Coyle (Kensington, MD/Georgetown Prep) with 5:53 remaining in the game. They remained in control down the stretch to close out the semester with the win.

Sophomore Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) scored 13 of his game-high 20 points in the second half, and also tallied a game-high 12 rebounds. Classmate Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) recorded a double-double as well with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) added 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists while Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) chipped in with 16 points, five rebounds and four assists. Coyle hit a trio of three-pointers for nine points.

Billy Harrison led four Chargers in double-figures with 15 points. Carl Edwards added 10 points, five rebounds and four steals.

The Red Devils improve to 2-7 overall. They return to action on January 3rd, traveling to Wesley College for a 7:00 pm tip-off. They return home to face Swarthmore on January 6th at 3:00 pm.

18th-Ranked Blue Jays Top Devils 76-60
December 9, 2006

(Baltimore, MD )– The Dickinson College men's basketball team fell to Centennial Conference leader and 18th-ranked Johns Hopkins 76-60 on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils slip to 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the CC. JHU improves to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

The Blue Jays led 42-36 at halftime and outscored the Devils 34-24 in the second half, shooting 60 percent from the field for the game. The Blue Jays also hit 12-of-14 free throws for 86 percent.

Sophomore Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) had another strong outing for the Devils, scoring a game-high 18 points, hitting 4-of-7 three-pointers. He also added an assist, a block and a steal. Classmate Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) tallied 12 points, four assists and four steals while Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) added 10 points and a team-high six rebounds.

Danny Nawrocki led the Blue Jays with 18 points and 11 rebounds. He also had three assists, three blocks and a steal. T.J. Valerio chipped in with 15 points while Matt Griffin had 12.

The Red Devils wrap up the semester on December 18th, hosting Lancaster Bible at 5:00 pm.

Devils Play Tough, Fall to F&M 66-56

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team played even with the visiting Diplomats of Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday night, but dropped a 66-56 decision in the end. The Red Devils led most of the way in the first half, taking a 36-33 advantage into the break. Dickinson pulled in front by five before a 14-2 run gave F&M a 47-40 lead.

The Diplomats stretched the margin to 12 midway through the second half but the Devils battled back to pull within four, 56-52, with 6:24 remaining in the game. F&M hit just 4-of-9 free throws in the final minutes but managed to hold on for the win.

Brandon Yost led the way for F&M, scoring a game-high 20 points to go with 11 rebounds. Derek Hines added a double-double as well with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Sophomore Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) played well for the Red Devils with career-highs of 19 points and 14 rebounds. He went 5-for-5 from the line with a block and a steal as well. Classmate Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) added 14 points, shooting 5-of-7 from the field. Senior Jon Skvarka (Bradford, PA/Bradford) tallied eight points and seven rebounds.

For the game the Red Devils shot 32 percent from the field and remained solid at the line, hitting 79 percent. The Diplomats hit 44 percent from the floor and 61 percent from the stripe.

The Red Devils travel to Johns Hopkins on Saturday to face the Blue Jays at 2:00 pm.

Shoremen Beat Buzzer to Top Devils 73-71
December 2, 2006

(Chestertown, MD)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team dropped another heartbreaker on Saturday afternoon as Washington College's Joey Breslin scored the game-winning lay-up in the final seconds of a 73-71 decision in Chestertown. The lay-up came after senior Jon Skvarka (Bradford, PA/Bradford) sank three straight free throws to knot the score at 71 with just seven seconds on the clock.

The Red Devils trailed by as many as 13 points in the first half. Dickinson used an 11-4 run at the end of the half to pull within six at 37-31. The Shoremen stretched the margin to 14 in the first five minutes of the second half, leading 49-35 with 15:02 remaining. Washington held a 10 point advantage with just under 10 minutes remaining in the game before the Devils made another run.

Sophomore Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) hit a three-pointer to trigger a 9-2 run to make the score 60-57 in favor of the Shoremen. The Red Devils tied the game for just the second time with 1:02 on the clock as Grell fed classmate Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) for a short jumper.

Washington answered with a basket from Todd Green and then went to the line following a Dickinson miss and a defensive rebound. The Shoremen hit one-of-two free throws to hold a 71-68 lead with just 20 seconds to go in the contest. Skvarka's three-point attempt drew a whistle, sending the veteran senior to the line. Skvarka drained all three foul shots to tie the game.

Leszczynski led all scorers with a career-high 32 points with a 10-for-12 performance from the free throw line. Grell was 9-of-11 from the stripe, scoring 20 points and handing out three assists. Skvarka tallied seven points and six rebounds. Sophomore Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) chipped in with six points, a team-high eight rebounds and two blocked shots.

Breslin led Washington with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Green and Andrew Chambers each added 10.

The Red Devils slip to 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the Centennial Conference. They return home to face Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday at 7:30 pm.

Green Terror Tops Devils in Centennial Opener
November 28, 2006

(Westminster, MD)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team suffered its fourth straight setback, falling to McDaniel College 75-58 in the Centennial Conference opener on Tuesday night. The Red Devils slip to 1-4 on the season.

The Red Devils took an early lead before a McDaniel run put the Green Terror in front 11-6 midway through the first half and stretched the margin to as many as 10 late in the half. The Green Terror held a 39-31 advantage at the break.

Dickinson trailed by just five at the 13:47 mark before a 17-7 run put the Green Terror on top 64-49 with 8:05 remaining in the game. McDaniel was in control the rest of the way, holding a double-digit lead down the stretch.

Sophomore Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) recorded a double-double with game-highs of 17 points and 11 rebounds. He hit 5-of-7 from the field and went 7-for-10 from the line. Classmate Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) drained three shots from beyond the arc, adding 13 points and handing out a pair of assists.

Sophomore guards Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) and Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) chipped in with eight and seven points, respectively.

Chad Arrington led McDaniel with 14 points and nine rebounds. The Green Terror improve to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in the CC.

Greyhounds Slip by Devils 75-72
November 26, 2006

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team dropped another heartbreaker at home, falling to visiting Moravian College, 75-72, on Sunday afternoon. The Red Devils had a final shot but sophomore Mike Geosits' (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) three-point attempt was literally just off the mark as time expired.

The Red Devils started the game strong, taking a 16-5 lead in the opening six minutes. They led by 10 with 11:38 remaining before the Greyhounds went on a 20-9 run to pull in front 33-32 with 3:36 remaining in the half. The teams went into the break with Moravian on top 43-41.

The Greyhounds stretched the margin to 52-45 early in the second half. The Red Devils battled back with a run of their own to regain the lead on a Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) three-pointer at the 8:53 mark. A rebound and basket by Leszczynski gave Dickinson a seven point advantage with just under five minutes remaining in the game.

Sophomore Mark Franzyshen converted a lay-up with 1:08 on the clock to make the score 70-69 in favor of the Red Devils. Geosits answered off an assist from sophomore classmate Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) to put the Devils in front 72-69. Ryan Miller hit a shot with 24 seconds left and the Greyhounds fouled immediately to send the Devils to the line.

Eric Whitman pulled down a miss on the front-end of a 1-and-1, and fed Michael Clemente for a go-ahead lay-up with 11 seconds on the clock. Clemente came up with a steal on the defensive end and sank both free throws with two seconds remaining to secure the win.

The Greyhounds improve to 2-2 overall. Franzyshen was one of four players to score game-high 17 points. He was perfect from the field, hitting 5-of-5 shots, and drained 7-of-8 free throws. Whitman tallied 14 points and had a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Red Devils fall to 1-3 overall. They were led by sophomores Leszczynski, Kenny and Geosits, who each scored 17 points. Geosits added nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals. Kenny hit a trio of three-pointers and grabbed six rebounds. Sophomore Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) added nine points and a game-high seven assists.

The Red Devils begin Centennial Conference play on Tuesday at McDaniel College. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm.

Late Run Leads Generals Past Devils 78-65
November 21, 2006

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team slipped to 1-2 on the season, falling to visiting Washington & Lee on Tuesday night. The Generals pulled in front 78-65 at halftime and held off a second half charge by the Red Devils to improve to 2-2 overall.

Dickinson scored first before W&L answered with nine straight points. They led by as many as nine in the first half, but the Devils battled back to within three at the 2:01 mark, 28-25. In the second half, the Red Devils tied the game on a Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) steal and lay-up with 11:40 remaining in the game.

The Generals put together another run and led 58-50 with 6:56 on the clock. Dickinson was within one, 60-59 with 4:43 remaining, but solid free throw shooting down the stretch spurred by 9-of-11 shooting from the free line secured the win for the visitors.

Greg Bienemann led all scorers with 28 points to lead W&L. Bienemann shot 10-for-13 from the field and 8-of-12 from the line. Femi Kusimo added 14 points and nine rebounds.

Sophomore Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) led the Red Devils with 20 points, three assists and three steals. Classmate Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) added 18 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three blocks while Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) and Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) each chipped in with nine.

The Red Devils are home again on Sunday, hosting Moravian College at 4:00 pm.

Mary Washington Wins Tip-Off Title in Final Seconds
November 18, 2006

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team dropped a heartbreaker to the University of Mary Washington in the final of the 2006 Pizza-Hut Tip-Off Tournament. A.J. Fitzgerald hit a long three-pointer with just two seconds remaining to lead the Eagles to a 61-60 win.

The game was close throughout with Dickinson pulling in front by double-figures in both halves of the contest. The Red Devils stretched the lead to 41-29 with 16:30 remaining. UMW rallied to tie the game at the 11:30 mark.

Sophomore Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) tied the game on a driving lay-up with 17 seconds remaining before Fitzgerald knocked down the three-pointer under solid pressure by the Devils.

Grell tallied a game-high 23 points, sinking 5-of-6 three-pointers on the day. Senior Jon Skvarka (Bradford, PA/Bradford) scored 10 points and had five rebounds while sophomore Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) added nine points, seven rebounds and a pair of blocked shots. Skvarka and Leszczynski were both named to the All-Tournament team.

The Red Devils were dead-on from the free throw line, shooting a perfect 14-for-14 on the afternoon.

Three Mary Washington players reached double-figures, led by tournament MVP Justin Baker with 17 points and three steals. Fitzgerald finished with 14 points while Mike Lee added 10.

The Red Devils return to action on Tuesday night, hosting Washington & Lee at 6:00 pm. In the consolation game, Messiah defeated Pitt-Greensburg 92-72. Jared Yoder of Messiah and Ed Montgomery were named to the All-Tournament team.

Devils Reach Century Mark in Season Opener With 100-88 Win
November 17, 2006

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team advanced to the finals of the 2006 Pizza-Hit Tip-off Tournament here on Friday night. In the season opener the Red Devils reached the century mark, turning back a late run by the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg for a 100-88 victory.

Sophomore transfer Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) led the Devils with 22 points and 11 rebounds to go with five assists and a pair of steals. Senior forward Jon Skvarka (Bradford, PA/Bradford) shot 6-for-8 from the floor, scoring 21 points. Skvarka was 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and 6-for-7 from the line.

Sophomore Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) added 19 points, five rebounds and four assists on the night. Sophomore guard Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) tallied 10 points, five assists and two steals despite limited action due to foul trouble.

Senior guard Pat Coyle (Kensington, MD/Georgetown Prep) came off the bench to drain a team-best four three-pointers while handing out four assists and making two steals.

Dickinson took a 45-37 lead into halftime and looked like they may blow the game open late in the second half. The Red Devils led 89-70 with just 3:24 remaining before a flury of three-point field-goals cut the margin to 91-85 with 1:22 on the clock. The Red Devils hit nine straight free throws in the final 1:06 to hold-off the Bobcats for the win.

As a team the Red Devils shot 75 percent from the free throw line, hitting 21-of-28 attempts. Dickinson controlled the glass as well, holding a 44-24 advantage on the boards.

Ed Montgomery led Pitt-Greensburg with a game-high 23 points, hitting six three-pointers and shooting 5-for-7 from the charity stripe. Matt Rowland added 17 points and Tim Gustin chipped in with 15.

The Red Devils will face the University of Mary Washington in the championship game at 3:30 pm. Pitt-Greensburg will face Messiah at 1:30. UMW posted an 83-76 win over Messiah to advance to the final. Mike Lee and Jon Pierce each scored a game-high 23 points to lead Mary Washington. Five Messiah players reached double-figures, led by Jared Yoder's 17 and 16 from Matt Henniger, who also pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.

Sophomores Set Pace in Exhibition Win

(Carlisle, PA)– The Dickinson College men's basketball team used a late run to post a 76-67 exhibition win over Sheridan College, visiting from Toronto, Canada. The Red Devils trailed by three at halftime and found themselves down one with 6:15 remaining. The Red Devils went on a 16-4 run from that point to open the game's biggest lead, 73-62, with just 53 seconds remaining in the game. They held on down the stretch to secure the win. The exhibition game does not count toward the team's season record.

Four sophomores reached double-figures to lead Dickinson. Point guard Kizmahr Grell (Laurelton, NY/The Gunnery) led all scorers with a game-high 19. Mike Geosits (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus) added 17 points, four assists and four steals while grabbing a game-high 14 rebounds.

Sophomore forwards Tom Leszczynski (West Babylon, NY/St. Anthony) and Cory Kenny (Richboro, PA/Council Rock South) added 15 and 10 points, respectively, and combined for 14 rebounds.

Dwight Taylor led Sheridan with 18 points and two steals while Richardo Dunckley added 11.

The Red Devils open the regular season next Friday in the Pizza-Hut Tip-Off Tournament. The University of Mary Washington will face Messiah College at 6:00 pm, followed by Dickinson hosting Pittsburgh-Greensburg at 8:00 pm.
