A Convergence of Interests: Oral History in the Digital Age
October 15 - 19, 2008
Sheraton Station Square Hotel , Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania

In the spirit of this year's theme, "A Convergence of Interests: Oral History in the Digital Age," the 2008 Annual Meeting
will focus special attention on oral history and digital technologies.

The "Oral History Digital Showcase"-an interactive plenary session- will highlight a wide range of innovative oral history and
new media projects on Saturday morning. Poster sessions are an effective forum to share digital projects. This plenary session
will allow the audience to move around the room interacting informally with presenters and exploring the featured projects.
Presenters may feature problem solving efforts, research on new media, digital exhibits, audio tours, Web-based collections,
archival programs, new media applications, interactive games, and education projects. We encourage students to share
their digital oral history projects.

Make sure to let us know on your proposal cover sheet (below) if you will need an Internet connection for your
presentation. Presenters are expected to supply their own laptops or equipment; if you need equipment due
to travel or other issues, please contact: Marjorie McLellan, Wright State University, at marjorie.mclellan@wright.edu .

Proposal format: Please submit one-page proposal for the "Digital Showcase" along with a one-page vita or resume for
each presenter involved in your project. Each submission must be accompanied by the cover sheet information below.
Please copy this information and include it at the top of your proposal and submit a single word document.

Proposals for the Digital Showcase may be submitted by mail, or email, and should be postmarked or sent
by March 15, 2008. (Note that the deadline for papers and panels is January 15, 2008.)
