#510 The Department of Romance Languages at the University of Vermont will be offering a Graduate Teaching Assistantship for the next academic year (08-09) to a student who wants to achieve a Master of Arts in French. The stipend is approximately $15,000, plus a tuition scholarship for up to ten credit hours per semester.
The responsibilities involve teaching one section of first-year college French, fall and spring semester, four days a week. While the fellowships are given for one year at a time, they are frequently continued for a second year so that the student can complete the work for the M.A. Candidates should apply to the Graduate College ( http://www.uvm.edu/~gradcoll ) by February 15, 2008.
Potential applicants are encouraged to contact me at Janet.Whatley@uvm.edu. Details of our M. A. program in French can be found at http://www.uvm.edu/~romlang/?Page=gradprogram.html.
